Flypaper Announces Next Version, Selling and Communicating Upgrades

by Raju Shanbhag Seeking new features for creating and sharing content that sells, Flypaper (News - Alert) Studio, Inc. today announced the release of its second version, Beta II. Users can now make use of the rich media presentations and other content as the new version provides updated features that improve and simplify how users sell and communicate over the Web, according to the company. Beta II includes an Interactive Media Player named “FlyPlayer,” which company officials describe as the world’s first Interactive Player where users can play and interact with any Flypaper presentation that is shared. Users can also import static PowerPoint presentations into Flypaper and enliven presentations, company officials say, add rich media and interactive elements to the existing text and graphics, then share the more engaging, optimized version on the Web. Beta II also provides enhanced media search capabilities with which users can create rich media presentations with YouTube videos, and images fromGoogle ( News - Alert), Yahoo, and Flickr, company officials say. Users can also conduct the search directly from within the application, then drag and drop right into a presentation, company officials say. Also, users can store, organize and quickly search downloaded media such as video, music and images with the help of new “Flybrary” that offers a media library from within the application. With Beta II, users can also propagate Flypaper content and embed in a corporate Web site, blog or social networking page, or send via e-mail with just a couple of clicks, according to the company. Flypaper’s free application was launched in beta this year, according to the company. With this application, users can create and share interactive content live or on the Web, eliminating the need for design or Flash programming skills. Flypaper said it plans to launch a partner program where users will have access to hundreds of “Flypaper Producers” that can be hired for professional content creation sometimes later this year, according to the company. Pat Sullivan, chief executive officer of Flypaper, a person recognized as one of the “80 Most Influential people in Sales and Marketing History” by Sales & Marketing Management Magazine, said, “Flypaper completely changes the way people sell, persuade and educate on the Web. Our users have told us they can now easily put together custom, Flash-quality sales presentations, proposals and interactive brochures with less time and cost than ever before. We are so excited to offer this version, which makes this new kind of selling and storytelling on the Web easy.”
