What's YOUR Role?

And how can Flypaper help YOU?

No matter what your role in the content-development process, Flypaper can make your job easier and more fulfilling.

Sole Creators:

New to content creation? It can be intimidating to get going. You don’t want your first efforts to be boring and simplistic.

Flypaper provides a wealth of templates for you to get started. But you’re not stifled like you are with most template systems. They’re just the starting point and you’ll quickly learn a few easy-to-master skills like animation and adding interactivity that will have you expressing your own creativity in no time!

Are you an experienced content creator? Feeling overwhelmed by the amount of content you’re tasked with creating? Tired of repetitive work?

Flypaper lets you become much more productive and do things you never could before. You no longer spend most of your time on the routine and the mundane. You get to focus on the fun stuff, where your experience and creativity provide the most value. The wealth of Flypaper components at your fingertips can be combined in a nearly infinite variety of ways. Create your own templates to quickly build a library of extraordinary value and quickly customize for re-use.

Team Members:

Are you an instructional designer? You know the importance of creating an experience that appropriately engages the learner and leads to the desired outcomes. But it can be frustrating translating your knowledge and vision to others who bring it life.

Flypaper lets you be more productive and participate more directly in the creative process. From the very beginning you can organize your content with an eye to the templates that are already available, speeding the development of a good portion. But when none of the available templates are sufficient it’s not a problem. Your graphic designers, animators and programmers will be able to create something re-usable for you in a fraction of the time of custom Flash development. The team benefits from your insight and you have an ever-growing arsenal of templates at your disposal.

With the optional Collaboration features (requires the Platform edition) you can work directly with the graphic designers, animators, and other content developers, drastically cutting review cycles and getting the content right. And if you’re the type that likes to be hands on, you may find it faster to create some of the content yourself – see Using Flypaper -- calling on the graphic designers, animators and programmers only when something new is needed.

Are you a graphic designer/animator? How much time do you spend re-creating the same page layouts and effects? Do you cringe when you see what others have put together in the interest of getting something done quickly? Do you love working in Flash, but want a faster way to do routine animations? Have you wished you could do some of the really cool interactive stuff but lack the time or perhaps the knowledge?

Never create the same page twice again! Simply create a page that looks and acts like you want. You can even lock down elements. Combine Flypaper components, animation and interactivity in novel ways and then save the page as a template. Share it with others using the optional Repository (requires the Platform edition) or by exporting a template file. Others benefit from your skills while you focus on design and creativity!

Are you a Flash developer? Tired of spending your time on animations or hooking up yet another menu structure? Wish there was an easy way of re-using your ActionScript code? Or sharing your creations beyond selling the source code to other Flash developers?

You’re the key to Flypaper. All of the components, transitions and effects in Flypaper are encapsulated Flash ActionScript 3.0 and we’ve made it incredibly easy for you to create new components. Simply use the Flypaper Component SDK! Many times you can take existing code and in just a few minutes create a sharable, re-usable component that empowers everyone else to benefit from your special knowledge and skills.

If you have ActionScript code for an assessment interaction that you don’t want to turn into a re-usable component, just create a SWF and drop it into our special Interaction component. It will report properly to Flypaper.
